Be it jugs of milk, bottles of soda or plates of pasta, wet and dry products need containers that can efficiently and safely hold them. For more than 200 years, Ishizuka Glass has undoubtedly moulded the packaging and container manufacturing industry, shaping up to become a champion in producing premium glass, paper and plastic container packaging, polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles, glassware and more.

While Ishizuka Glass bears an unrivalled expertise in manufacturing glass products, the family-owned company has broken barriers beyond glass since its establishment in 1819. Relentlessly adapting to changing times and fulfilling customer needs, Ishizuka Glass later diversified into paper packaging and PET bottles. Outside of its business-to-consumer merchandise, the Japanese company also supplies brands including Coca-Cola, Asahi, Suntory and Meiji.

“We tend to adapt our materials and production to meet the needs of our customers,” says Hisatsugu Ishizuka, president. “We are very friendly and compliant to customer demands. We stand with them, and we’re loyal to them.”

In line with its tenacious innovation, Ishizuka Glass has opened a new non-container division that uses its product IONPURE, an inorganic soluble glass with antimicrobial properties. IONPURE can be used in a variety of products to reduce foul odours and bacteria.

“As we expect to be around for the next hundred years, we would like to carry on our spirit of commitment. We see IONPURE as something to look forward to in the future as we address needs, create approaches and form new applications with,” Ishizuka says.

Devoting itself to quality control, Ishizuka Glass raises the bar for Japanese standards as it commits to providing uniform product excellence to its clients worldwide. Famous bone China dinnerware brand Narumi has joined Ishizuka Group, which has overseas outposts in the United States, China, Singapore and Indonesia. Narumi also has its main plant in Indonesia. Ishizuka Group is set to diligently serve its consumers through its direct market approach as it continues to expand in its current markets.
